● Portrait of my OC Evangelina, heavily inspired by Betty Jangs’s style. I plan to do master studies of the old great painters in the future to imrpove in my use of contast, brushwork and detailing.
● Dwarf dude, I haven't painted one in a very long time!
● Practicing manga styles, I will need to continue practicing my linework since it's not that neat.
● I learned how to make custom sculpting brushes in blender to add texture/detail, I sculpted a demon to try them out!
● Very rough Teto Kasane fanart. I always see the cool screenshot renders that artists do of their anime sculpts with Zbrush, so I tried to do something similar with blender.
Get alot of mileage drawing if you want to make your own stuff that all i got to say .It just to easy to fall into kitbashing and photobashing habit get rendering skill first before photobashing skill i would say otherwise you dont know how to adjust contrast and that kind of stuff and you also still need rendering skill to fill the gap and paint over the texture so it doesnt read as a photo

I understand where you are coming from. I'd like try to continue to do both photobash/non photbashed enviroment pieces, cause I like the experimentation part of art rather than just trying to get better straight away, thank you for your concern :D
WAAAAAA your doing it all Ortani!
so cool to see the 3D work.
Nice job on the photo bashing. I feel some people get it fairly early, and some, like myself, still struggle with it to this day. My colleague does it at work, and my god, can he make some amazing pieces with it.

Also, Betty Jang is the GOAT!
Ooo thank you for your kind words! ah yeah, I feel the same. These incredible artists do make it look so easy, I know I have quite a trek ahead of me but i'm super excited to see what's to come from it.
also I KNOWWWW!! Her work is in a league of it's own, she is super inspiring :D
Coming back today to show you all what I did last month!
I did some more environment stuff! I hope I give myself more time this month to do something cool!
● Photo bashed piece, still trying to get comfortable with choosing the right photos / play with lighting/layer modes.
● Photo study, trying to figure out lighting, understand how foliage interacts with rocks and experimenting with different types of brushes/hardness to see what can mimic certain foliage well.
● I tried to come up with some fantasy piece myself with some tree houses and glowing mushrooms! I can't quite grasp what type of feeling I'm trying to portray, I'll need to study more works/photos in hopes It will help me more in the future :D
● My OC Lisa! I was looking at riot artists in particular. I feel this piece doesn't represent the style well because of the harsh shadows + high contrast. Unfortunately I have this tough battle with myself where I cannot decide when to stop or wonder if I can even able to successfully replicate it without it looking like another already existing riot artist style. Maybe a few master studies and more experimentation are in order :')
● I saw Manda’s artwork for the first time and fell in love! I wanted to replicate it somewhat again with my OC Lisa! It was a relaxing exercise.
Working on cleaner linework. The bunny piece wasn't really cleaned up, so I'm not sure if I'm going to work more on it. I'm somewhat happy with the magical girl one though! As always I need to look at more styles and see how others deal with linework until I can feel at least comfortable with mine so bigger pieces are going be less frustrating to do :')
