Hey there, I think u should focus on studies with pencil and paper, of construction and anatomy and such things, not so much get a head of yourself and go all out with digital.. but i do notice some good perspective up there in one of those pieces! so kudos for that.

hey dude, i think if you wanna go really far, you must think a lot, about your volumes, stick to your light source, etc, and the sooner you'll put the habit of thinking, the sonner you'll see huge improvments ! Also try to tackle one thing at a time . first drawing/composition, then values and finally colors. ( you can still study a bit of values and colors while drawing, but just don't do everything at once, put some priorities in order to progress ! ) Anyway, keep it up dude !

awesome maan you have some great ideas and a good imagination you just gotta work ont hat anatomy and use references research the heck out of whatever you do if you hope for it to be strong. Doodles are always good if you wanna relax and doodle thats cool too take more time don't be scared to revamp your work. Don't settle for less don't detail the heck out of your work until your happy with overall look an feel because after that it becomes harder and hard to work with. Keep it up you have made great progress!

First two pages from my Loomis study . I pretty much did the first few pages for practice .
I think i spent more time thinking which facial expressions to do then actually drawing them

Good start and there's definitely development in your art, comparing your first post to the later ones. For the Andrew Loomis books, they are all in one place over here: http://illustrationage.com/2013/04/02/fr...downloads/
They're searchable via google, but having a direct link is the easier way. :)
It's a somewhat solitary existence, a bit like a lighthouse keeper throwing a beam out into the darkness, in faith that this action might help someone unseen.

Heres todays set of Loomis head studies and i also went out a bit today and sketched something in town , not great but i kinda like it . Im not really good in terms of drawing long straight lines , the porportions are also kinda fucked up on the windows but ill be honest i didnt have a good place to sit anywhere so it was also harder to concentrate .
Town council building (makarska)
Wierd AL has such a cartoony face even for a real person XD
And to top it off stuff from Loomis Head & hands

hey there, at this point, i really cant add much to the feedback you've already received, really good advice there.
Once you are tired of drawing those cartoony faces, go for real ones, study the structure, etc.
And to draw straight lines or curved lines, or whatever it helps to make the movement with the elbow and not the wrist. Just dont hold the pencil like if you were going to write.
But of course if you are drawing in a small paper maybe that would be troublesome, i dont know its been ages since i drew in a big paper.
But you are on a good path indeed, just keep going forward!

Okey i think these will be the last pages on heads cause i honestly think that studying these heads is starting to bore me REALLY big ,i dunno do you guys ever feel sleepy when your trying to study this stuff cause i think i keep falling asleep while doing these .
Also i simply CANNOT seem to make big enough foreheads my foreheads always seem so small in comparison to what Loomis draws
Though the skeleton heads were fun though
Number 11 gave me the boost to finish this page
You can pretty much guess to what point of the book im at here but yeah i think the forehead is what kind of screws me over in a lot of these ....i just really cant seem to do faces all that well . they also seem to all look the same

You've got some epic feedback here so far. I remember being at this point years ago...I'm basically going to tell you what I wish I could tell myself back in 8th grade haha.
-Draw from life as MUCH as possible. Strive not only to replicate, but to understand.
-Don't use lines for everything, think in terms of marks, accents, shapes, edges and values.
-Research the kind of stuff that ateliers do and aim to replicate their exercises.
Do these and I can pretty much guarantee exponential growth in your abilities to draw whatever your want convincingly. Best of luck!

Im not fully sure i understand what you mean by no lines for everything . Like i know that for something like a nose its prefferable to use shadeing instead of lineart unless you mean dont use lineart for like the ending stages when you are shadeing it and everything . but i do understand i hope anyways what you mean by shapes.
And when you say understand what exactly do you mean ?
(im sorry if im questioning very basic stuff here but i just want to make sure i understand what it is your saying)
The last one is pretty self explanatory though :p

Well ive pretty much filled out my first technical sketchbook just one two more pages left.
So for this i decdied to draw at least one picture of Aragorn...forgot his name at the time , he kind of looks like a girl but it might just be the lips (as per usual)
Decided to do a page on hands today , im so bad at spaceing when it comes to hands
And finally i decided to actually get out , went down to a cafe where my first set of art classes was and drew people for about 30-40 minutes , they arent great but it was definetly far more interesting and fun .

Had a productive day today First page i kinda did yesterday but it was already part of the day ...hands are suprisingly much more fun to draw for me for some reason .
First page is kind of a cheat due to doodle from before but i think its worth it due to the devil horns hand
Did some more hands before going to the cafe for the day and sketch
Stuff i did at the cafe....not very inspired as you can tell but i think some of the sketches turned out good
Last page is kinda bleh some of em are from the Andrew loomis one as im sure you can tell simply by the quality . But in general was quite a productive day of drawign hadns today

Youre getting good but if i were you i would practice on perspective and conposition. alit of your figures are standing in the middle of the composition. look up the rule of thirds, golden spiral, etc and do more stuies and really spend time on them like 8hrs itll fly by trust me :)
