Help me with the LIGHTING

I just finished this painting but I am not sure this lighting correct or not. Please suggest me.

First thing that pops into my mind is, that if you were trying to make it as a kind of a dawn light you should rember, that the sun is at it's lowest and it shines on on the clouds from the bottom, not top as in this picture:

It also gives more colour to the water and is overall much darker than the sun during the day, which would make your drawing also darker, more mysterious and give you the oportunity to highlight some important details, as for example the heads of the beast.

Study some sea landscapes - it should help :)

Pretty much what denikina said. You've got the right lighting in mind with those yellow high/rim lights on the monster, but what's contradicting it is the abundance of white key and fill light that are also on the monster. Do more studies of sea landscape at the time of day you have in mind, and if you can find a copy of James Gurney's Color and Light it'll help you too.

also pay more attention to how different material reflect light differently- scales, clouds, water, wood
when in doubt, always look up reference
