This was done without scene light instead the light direction is created by faking the light sometime by moving mutiple ''specular'' and stacking them over the 3d surface(which i can deform using some setting until it match the original .It was proving to be easy on spherical object but it prove to be time consuming on elongated shape so i i had to improvise and do the specular using the ellipse tool in photoshop. The Lineart is a combination of grease pencil(blender) some blending mode(in photoshop) applied to create stroke where need and some curve using the pen tool over the final render i imported in photoshop.
I am trying to find a process to work mostly in blender i would say this was done like 90/10 blender/photoshop
This project was because i am kinda mad at the newer gen shader in the pokemon game and want to see what i would do different if not better with a retro look. So look out for some pokemon/fakemon related project in a near future.
