Hey man, nice evolution here! I like your perseverence! And the chicks, too!
Do you do construction when you draw? Because there's a difference between your line drawings and you painting studies, the latter are better. When you have the pencil and the paper, things can get daunting if you don't understand what you're drawing. I know when i started to draw, my line was awful, and everything i drew was out of proportion and flat. After a while i started using simple shapes, like cubes, spheres, cones to simplify what i wanted to draw and it was easier to put them in perspective and shade them to look more belivable.
