I've totally been lurking around your sketchbook for a long time but I realized that I've never dropped a comment! You're a big inspiration to me, kicking my ego's butt with your killer progression. You did a fantastic job on the Ascend piece, very harmonious palette. Quite interesting to see how you solved rendering the air. It's definitely portfolio worthy.
I'm not sure if this critique is valid, but I think you probably should pay attention to softness and sometimes contrast. Though I do see that you restricted the deeper shadows to the focal point in your tavern piece, it just feels that some objects lose their terminator line. Might be that values are too similar in certain areas due the broadness of your value's progression, making it a bit soft.
