I also saw Feng Zhu speaking about Visual Library. I was pretty scared at first that it's irreversible mistake made by my parents that they never traveled with my and I never visited any other countries etc. xD But yeah, you have right, it is a skill that you can learn like any other. My best way to keep my creativity on fixed level is probably RSS reader with tons on art blogs.
I love reading books, they are working on your imaginary in best way in my opinion but often I can't find enough time to read ... so I started listen to Audio books and radio shows.
