Really cool stuff dude!
I think you mechs can sometimes look a little flat because of the perfect front views of the legs and all the flat horizontal lines, if those were receding to a vanishing point I think they would seem a lot more believable. But maybe you're going for that flat designy look, in which case nevermind XD

In any case, I'm really liking the designs and studies, looking forward to more work!

Very nice stuff man! Clean rendering.
With your polished works, I think you could add some depth to them with texture work, and having minute details in places of interest.
And like Samszym pointed out, avoid dead angles if you can as they tend to make things look flat and uninteresting.
