Aww yis dude!

All I could suggest is that you try and be more mindful of your brush strokes in that study, with for example the edge control.

I look forward to more, keep them coming :D

I've been using that chalky brush as a crutch while I get my work flow down lol. But thank you for calling me on my shit. It is SUCH an easy out as a default brush. I may go back to hard rounds for studies to keep me honest ;)

Thanks, man. I've been using

and

for mostly everything. I have to start doing some Loomis studies.

Quick environment before getting back to works. I landed a job turning out alien beasties! It's not my comfort zone so I'm learning a lot and getting some great results.

Honestly, I think Loomis is overrated. When I was studying artistic anatomy my teachers never mentioned Loomis but what they did mention were experts like Robert Beverly Hale and William Rimmer. For photo reference and diagrams my old professors always mentioned Muybridge and Goldfinger. E. Goldfinger's book on Human Anatomy for Artists is perhaps the gold standard when it comes to instruction on artistic anatomy. I'm not sure why no one ever mentions Jeseph Sheppard. His book on anatomy is far better than anything Loomis has produced. I had to do a google search on Loomis because I was curious about all this praise for him and I don't quite understand what all the fuss is about--he's really not a great teacher like Sheppard, Rimmer or Hale are.
