I hope this is the right thread to posts goals as well as sketches. Every 2 weeks, I'll copy and paste the platform below, and start over in a new post here on this thread. So biweekly, I'll list my goals, updates, sketches, projects, and highlight/portfolio images. My sketches as well as a few finished projects.
My art is very cartoony, with styles mimicking Pixar character concepts that I've seen in the 'Art Of' books. I mostly sell my art on websites like mweor or furry-paws, wherein the audience is pretty childish and the art demand is geared more towards anime, big fluffy tails/ears, and rainbow/unnatural coat colors. You can see evidence of this in my commission section.
I never really like these sorts of styles, but none the less my art was influenced. Even now, my stuff borders a very serious/realistic nature on those websites, but I'm not satisfied. Part of my driving force in wgc is to improve on my characters' realism, variation, and characterization.
The images are annoyingly big, but I'm having a hard time resizing them. Will get to soon as possible.
Goals-
Updates/Completed Tutorials-
Sketches-
Commissions-
Projects-
Highlights-
Portfolio-
-
October/earlier months
Goals-
1 Sketch per day
1 4-panel comic each week
3 tutorials per week [pertaining to anatomy or digital painting techniques]
1 hour speedpaint per day
Updates/Completed Tutorials-
Sketches-
For now I'll add some of my better recent sketches, and more current nice sketches will be added as I go.
Archive of other sketches-
Dating all the way back to last year.
Commissions-
OLDER commissions;
Current Project(s)-
World Geography Characters[wgc]' first theme, Africa. Meerkat Kinshasa, Cheetah Talak, AWD Morocco, Lion Senegal, Hyena Kenya/Kenu. Any animals titled with the name of a country are WIPs and have not yet been completely plotted. Their names are temporary.
Wgc focuses on a certain region and attempts to spotlight certain elements through the creation of animal 'character' designs as one would see in Disney/Pixar animated movies. These characters will also eventually be auctioned.
Projects to Come-
Wgc's proceeding themes, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Australia, and Antarctica. Other themes may also be done during this series, such as Oceania, Madagascar, the Caribbean [in detail], etc.
Vikings
Huns
Native Americas
Circus animals
Ancient Civilizations
Mythology
Industrial England
Portfolio-
This section will be edited as I go, over the course of a few months. I may create a separate post devoted entirely to my portfolio.
