Alternatively search "anatomy" on Pinterest or Tumblr, it should come up with some good results. Interior and building paintings look pretty good. Also every once in a while take the time to do an extended figure study, remember to paint around the forms.
Thanks! I could definitely use some deeper anatomy studies - I've been pushing it away because every time I try it feels so dry and uphill! I also want to get more into hard surface stuff so I'm not sure how to prioritize there.
Buncha weak thumbs and poses today.

another low effort day. I know it's been a long and intense day but I need to find a way to fight through it

I keep doing faces and anatomy, but what I think I really should work on is hard surface stuff, at least I think that's what will have the most use in the end ...

The digital painting from imagination is a WIP, and the two poses marked with an X are without reference.
It's been a good weekend

Hey Havegum! Your gesture and figure studies are coming along nicely! Your face value studies, in particular, are looking good. One thing that may help with the "sameness" issue of faces is to do studies of other artists paintings and how they paint faces. That might help break some of that repetition as you will pick up habits from doing those studies that you don't normally do.
Also to keep up dat fire, I would recommend finishing pieces on a sort of regular schedule, especially if you aren't comfortable creating fully finished pieces. You'll learn a lot and see how far you still need to go after you put every ounce of effort into something. Of course, some people have different styles of learning, but from my own experience and from some others I've seen, it's the best way to get better fast.

In response this I'm trying to spend some time on a more planned piece. This is still really loose obviously, especially colours - It's strange how quickly the time slipped away. I feel like I was working on it a lot but it doesn't really show and it's still very rough. Hopefully work speed picks up as I work on more illustrations.
I'll also try to get some portrait studies rolling in the near future!

Here's today, I'm happy with how the drivers face looks at the moment but I'm looking to push it even further tomorrow
