Yep, awesome studies. Agreed with Othrandir-- Need to apply them to imagination, so look away from the reference and try to draw it without an aid. It's challenging, but necessary. Keep it up! Grin

Hey, that's really cool.

But, what I meant was that you should be taking the studies you're doing, and trying to do them without looking at references.

So, for example-- You got an awesome study of a chest thar. Now do it again. Without looking.

Pretty tricky, eh?

But, imagination is also important apart from study, because you're applying your studies through imagination. That's the way you experiment.

I really need to work at this myself, because it's effing hard, but I know that it needs to be done to get better. Just keep working at it man-- The more you draw, the more you improve.

Did this piece while listening to Dan's kinda motivating podcast.

Decided to stop it halfway because i was really frustrated so im stopping for now and moving onto another study.

It really resonates with me because i hate what my school is teaching, its 3D animation and heavy technical 3D stuff :/ so im struggling to find time to self train, i know im improving but i have to go faster and smarter. 2016 im graduating and i have to enlist in the army (compulsory) for 2 years. So im really frustrated at my own skill and my speed of improvement right now. I'll still do tons of work but its tiring sometimes.

P.S its term break now so i have 2 weeks of studying hardcore :D

First Time doing an armor study, Im focused more on rendering rather than the proportions,

Was glad it turned out quite nicely :D My friend asked me to do a more challenging piece one which has less light spilling everywhere.
