This week: Creature of the Week! (CROW)

The villagers took shelter as a seething, dark mass, swarming with creatures of the air of every type, blocked out the light of the sun. A single deafening shriek rang through the air and the mass of creatures parted, a single, colossal silhouette emerging from the horde. The Great Winged Beast had returned.

Your task: Design the Great Winged Beast.

Guidelines:

• No Humanoids or Human-like creatures
  
• No plants
  
• No blob-like masses with no shape
  
• No 1:1 copies of existing animals
  
• Photo textures, 3D, and traditional mediums are allowed.
  
• Studies are recommended, but not required.
  
• There is no restriction on image formats (horizontal, vertical, square).
  
• Environment backgrounds are optional.
  
• Keep in mind you are not required to strictly stick to what is in the passage. It is more of a guide in terms of mood.
  

Rules:

• You must post at least one WIP in the WIP thread to be accepted into the final poll.
  
• Most of the Creature must be visible
  
• Finals must be posted in the finals thread before the deadline.
  
• Only ONE final entry please.
  
• Sketches, WIPs, or rushed artwork will not be accepted into the poll.
  
• No fanart. We want to see your original, unique interpretations!
  
• Have fun!

OMG. I'm entering, but mine will look sooooooo minuscule to your guys's. THEY'RE AMAZE! In my defense though, I am probably A LOT younger than you all...... WAY LESS EXPERIENCE HERE!!!!! :D I'll have fun though ;)

I hope it looks less like a mutalisk now. Today was spent correcting the values. I'm still not feeling like I've gotten the speculars down though. : / I'll go at it tomorrow again.
