Hi, everybody. I'm a new blood here.
Got a really inspired by local sketchbook threads. Finally got some courage to start a SB myself. 
Starting this thread with my current progress.
Works(sketches) are attached chronologically, so there is some kind of order here.

Would like to hear any comments and critique.

Welcome Asodr! I really like your sketches especially the first two and and your figures. They look so alive and fun. The only thing I noticed is that your skulls look a bit flat, maybe you could try to look a bit more into the basic forms of the skull. I hope that makes sense : )

POST MOAR STUFFZ

t's been a year since the last time I've posted anything,wow. Spent the last year and a half on reading, observing and trying to widen my visual library, which in result shifted my views and interests a bit. 

So to the progress. From the end of May to the end of June I've completing a challenge for 100 faces. Than got myself start doing studies directly in color, plus to the new challenge for 25 heads without fully defined features.

Today have been doing my second study with acrylics, after reading some pages from the "Alla Prima".

Done in a relatively small scale, 15x10cm 






WIP study, would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Think I'm doing some progress with overall face proportions, but I feel that I lack the firm knowledge of the separate features.

Finally finished the study of the boat, gotta track and analyze my thought process a bit. Also, trying to do some speed paintings, here is an extended one from yesterday, theme was the "Iridescent".

I think you'll wanna study the structure of the skull specially the eye socket, and the symmetry of the features. Also look at a structurally drawn nose like bridgeman or hogarthe to understand those planes, they make a big difference!
