Hey that hand study with the technicolour lighting looks great! I like the way the orange light cuts across the fingers.
Also I have heard about copying subjects upside down - I guess it helps you to detach from what the object is and just copy the shapes.
Enjoy your food and keep up the hard work :)

Hey Artloader! How's your progress going? Yeah I tought this was really nice too that's why I copied the fotos. Also because I still suck at hands :(
Thanks the food was delicious.

Quick study update. I've been doing some dumb fan art stuff lately so sorry there is no personal stuff here. Soon though! Once I get my shit together.
A portrait I did to better understand colors inside shadows.... also trying to refine my blending... D:
And a study where I tried to guess the value. I also didn't zoom in more than 50 % to keep myself from doing all these tiny brushstrokes I usually do. Couldn't totally resist the temptation though. I'll do more of these and with each of them I try to get more and more confident strokes as I go along.

Went to my first exam this semester and for the last few question I just stared at the question like an idiot. What a wonderful feeling.
So here is a study and then two sketch paintings.
