6 Months of Making a Game
#1
Hey guys,
I want to take 6 months and make a game.
This project is not exclusively about Artwork, but also coding and dabbling into composing,
but at least part of it is the artwork.
I will have to find an appealing artstyle at least.

The very first artworks for my proto-prototype look like this:

Whenever I manage to add or improve something significant, I make a Dev-Log on YT.
Here are the first three.

#2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E7WOHg_edg

Also, continuing to build this ingame-world will provide me with opportunities to make concept art.
I am always a bit uncertain if calling it so is right, but what I mean is,
coming up with an idea, making an artwork/sketch of it and then implementing it into my game.

Hopefully in the end it will just be a cool project and a cool game.
The beginning was April 1st 2019 and i plan to do it for 6 months.

Trying to incrementally decrease the over-simplicity of the coloring.

(very hard btw. when you only have like 150px x 150px for the character.)

I am very happy with the progress I am making.

I made another DevLog today.
You really should follow them, this game is becoming so cool with time!

(all twitching in the video comes from the video editing software and is not inherent to the game)

Till now I focused more on coding, I think next time I will work on the Artwork for the characters, next to other things mentioned in the Log.

and in case you do not watch, screens;
remember: its a (proto-)prototype:

Have a nice day!

Cool man  I dont know the first thing about coding.
Obviously the art style is going to be simple for like a mobile game.
I always thought 2d pixel sprites were the best, way cooler than super rendered hyper realistic graphics.
Well good luck my man, hope it turn out great.

Thank you.
Im not quite sure, if it will stay as simple and hopefully it will not look as simple as a mobile game in the end, but of course in these very first stages it looks very simplistic.

The next Dev-Log is exactly about that - improving the artwork.
I dont know, yet, how much more realistic I want it to get. Most likely a semi-thing between comicy and a-bit-realistic.
