Hello there.

I'm a hobbyist that's been looking for a place to discuss art a bit more seriously. Twitter has the people but I hate the word count limit, blogging has the word count but very few people around, so I've arrived here! It seems nice. I really hope to talk alot here.

I've gained a strong interest in art again after working slowly with few ideas for quite a long time now. I'm interesting primarily in watercolor and am working on a comic, but I'm also interested in tons of other mediums and have worked with acrylic, oil, and digital. For a long time, my main interest was black and white ink drawings, but I've now gained an interest in working with color.

Here is a recent acrylic painting done using a photo reference and recent watercolor painting I've done as examples of my work.

Excited to talk to everyone here.

Cool style i can enjoy some traditional work around here. Take a bit more energy to catalogue but with a bit of photographic skill you can get thing to look pretty accurate to what you want to present. Just consider the natural light in the room will taking the photo.

This community is small make no mistake but we don't have not so much limit outside of just being generally about being nice and honest people. We cannot guaranty a safe space for the ego. But we respect everyone effort.

This a good middle ground between keeping track of your work and receiving minimal feed back. This will certainly not replace your effort to self learn or to get a mentor.

I want to give you a introductory gift(if we call it that) since to me knowledge is a gift i encourage you to visit the free resource the community as collected over the years https://crimsondaggers.com/forum/thread-3.html

Perfection is unmeasurable therefor it impossible to reach it.

Hello, thank you for the reply.

It is really a pain to photograph, the above two are scanned and the bottom also had its colors edited in gimp, to middling effect. When I do photograph I generally prefer to do it outside with natural lighting.

I'm aware though compared to my last hang out, it's definitely more active here it seems. If it helps with understanding, I used it primarily because no one does, so a reply at all wouldn't have have happened, like usual haha.

Thank you for the link to the resources, I will give them a look.
