So the blood only goes on certain part of the cloth but not on other is it smart blood or something?

Where the chin of the samurai?

The sword doesn't necessary read as a sword to everyone i would argue this could be a issue for clarity.

This feel like a panel from a comic but the speed line i feel need more exaggeration.

Not sure how relevant my comment are if this is animation since 1 frame is not the full picture of the story... otherwise probably draw your color inside the line in the sock part.

Speed line refer to the line of action in a manga or comic. Like the samurai slashing.

Well for the chin it hard to explain like you just have to see someone from below also you could do any stylization and get away with the chin there is nothing wrong it up to you. When i look at is face and head structure it barely look like a face or a head it more like a cylinder with line draw on it there is no form to the feature i know it happen sometime for the nose in manga to be reduce to almost nothing but other feature generally have a stronger ''silhouette''

Just take zoro example you see how they have the katana showing between is leg it help give a clear silhouette to the sword so it properly ready as a sword and not just some ''hand'' which otherwise could read as a knife.

You didn't forget the blood it was like that in the reference.

I don't have much to add since this to me is a count as a study of a reference. Maybe just add some lightning and add something to the wall on the side so it not just blank surface .If you really want to push it you could add the sky with a gradient.
