I wanted to study the individual landmarks of the face.

Then I started something from imagination and did a couple anatomy studies, but nothing I want to post yet.

Plus I'm going to start something new new in the next few days. Woo~

And the start to a quick illustration I'm going to finish up tomorrow.

Still unsure where I want it to really go.

HERE is the start of a 20 hour still life. Yes. I'm going to put aside 20 hours for this one. It's complex enough. Spent the first 2 hours getting the shapes and contours down right. It's not done, maybe another 30 minutes before I start to lay down the values.

Looking forward to that still life drawing!

I have to try to do some studies but using real objects as references not just pictures. I did some still life drawings in the last 3 month at an art school but with charcoal

Charcoal is so much fun. I should do that more often. I have the correct paper for that still (i think) I should go buy a stick and do some figure drawing.

I've been gone for awhile as you may have noticed. But most of the reasons why are all gone, and so here is a quick update. with my (finished?) 20 hour still life. And also some sketches from books/pictures.

I want to do some more still lives. Shorter ones, haha. Plus I've got 2 weeks to finish that sword and the stone piece. ATM I've got a bit of a busy schedule so updates may be a bit slower than usual. But nothing as bad as these last few weeks.

Theres more I could say but I know no one wants to hear it. So lets just carry on.

I'm going to do another self portrait soon, this ones proportions bothered me. Plus I want to try new tactics to painting the face.
