This is the cabinet /Cooking Set project
Intention: A group of object use on a Marchant cart to hold supply and utility .Originally the presentation idea was to have a cutting board on the ground where the bowl knife and fork would be displayed. But this created visual problem as it would be more work then initially plan as i need to remove the cutting board from it slot inside the cabinet (the cutting board sit over the drawer) and i can't just have it slide slightly otherwise it would partially hide the drawer in the view angle i already had at that time. This is a leak of planning on my part. Some of the functionality there get obscured or lost due to bad planning. This result in the knife the book and the fork to sit inside the shelve of the cabinet which was originally plan to house at that time nothing in particular it would have probably been a space for spice and the mug might also have been hang there instead of rest on those barrel.I would have presented a few of the object on the cutting board sitting in front of the cutting board. But this again create a weird read as you scroll down to where most of the visual attention would be so i am not that mad about the shelve becoming the center of focus as it sit higher and more on the left.Initially the door was not going to be open as i wanted the object to be mostly sitting on the ground but it kinda also felt wrong to have the door close since it so much space not being shown it kinda make you question what inside not that it bad necessarly.
Description: A cabinet with a shelve a drawer and a cutting board. Some barrel to keep liquid and other commodity. A fork and a knife. A bowl and a spoon with a mug(re use from my other project). Finally a book what it is for who know... sometime you need a little bit of mystery.
This was a hard project to manage alot of object and alot more functionality and realism then anticipated(yes the door can close perfectly). The challenge was mostly to have texture that read well but also let prop have there own visual read. Also finding a good lighting scenario so the door would not create a strong cast shadow or have anything sit to much in shadow inside the cabin that why i opted to have a few barrel outside and one inside to show where they would sit normally.
If you have any comment of feedback let me know.
