Good start man. So do you want to do characters mostly? What kind of job in entertainment art are you aiming for? The best general advice I can give is to make a habit of drawing everyday for at least 10 minutes. It takes (I think) 14 consecutive days to form a habit. Then it'll feel weird to not draw everyday. Other than that draw from life as much as you can. Do anatomy studies and practice perspective. Theres a resource section on the site with tons of links. I think most people will tell you to start with Andrew Loomis's Figure Drawing for all its Worth and Scott Robertson's How to Draw. Also check out Proko's channel on Youtube if you havnt already.
