Timetables?

I'm currently not using this because I'm at school, but I'll be leaving soon, and I want to hit the ground running. Or whatever they say.

I know it's important to have routine and disciplined schedule when you're being self taught. I'm in a lucky enough situation to be able to take 5 days out of the week to just draw. I was curious about having a timetable and which would be the most effective way to spend my time, I came up with this mock, but I want to know your thoughts on it, and your current timetables, if you have one.

Thanks daggers <3

Your timetable is very ambitious. If You are able to withstand it's burden, then that's fine, but just have in mind that it's better to set smaller goals and fulfil them rather than set huge ones and fail.
What i would personally advise is to reserve some time for watching tutorials and analysing them (how and why artist do this or that and how You could implement it in your work). Also, take short breaks but quite often and work out. A bit of sport from time to time wouldn't hurt as well.

Good luck!

You will die with only an hour break in a 15 hr session; that is if you plan to do this every day. I would insert like 3 or 4 breaks and for your early morning start I would begin with gestures, just so you loosen up. Also, remember not to do random studies, always keep it related to what you want to do in your imagination work.

Here might be a better schedule to follow

8:00
30 mins of 30/60 secs of full body gestures
30 mins of 30/60 secs of face gestures
9:00
Some Loomis Studies
10:00
Drawings from your imagination of what you learned from those Loomis Studies.
11:00
Break
12:00
Study Subject of The Month (Concerning what you are having trouble with most in your imagination work)
1:00

2:00
Break
3:00
Environment Study (Make it related to what you plan to do in your portfolio piece)
4:00

5:00
Break
6:00
Portfolio Piece/Freelance
7:00
Portfolio Piece/Freelance
8:00

9:00
Portfolio Piece/Freelance
10:00

Thanks guys, yeah, I realize how ridiculous my timetable was, I've since made revisions to it based on feedback. However, talk is cheap, have to put this into practice.

@dennis : do you know somewhere I can get good portraits for those 30second drawings? is there a site like pixelovely for it or did you just get a big personal database off google/ facebook?

I collected a big folder of faces and full body poses found all over the internet. I find it better and easier to set your own slideshow of images and have them on random for whatever time period you want. I use XNView image viewer.

Heres a good place for full body. They got a ton of models on there with a couple good ones if you browse through them. Some images work some don't.

Heres an alright place for faces although you can just find on google or facebook as well.

There's obviously a ton more sites out there.
