Hello Daggers!! I'm super excited to start a sketchbook here. This is an awesome community of talent, learning, and teaching. Can't wait to meet all of you. I'll try to update as often as I can. Here is a collection of illustrations and studies I've done over the past year.

Brent: Thanks man! I've been watching you grow over the past several months and I hope to be improve as quickly as you have.
John: Thank you! I've been fan of your work for some time now.
Sick: Always a pleasure Sick. Thanks again :D

I've been working on some studies. Time of day / light studies from photo ref and a rendering study also from photo ref. I came to the conclusion after doing these light studies that color is another part of any image that you have to design as well. I't never occurred to me to really think to design my color in the way nature has designed color. I would just pick colors I thought looked nice or just think warms and cools. I hope to be able to apply what I've learned with these to feel more informed about my color choices.

Aaawww man those studies of environments are gorgeous!! Loving the colors! I need to do a similar practice working with not as much detail but painting good colors, very inspiring :)

isra-ac: Thanks man! Yea those were awesome practice and helped be to become even more sensitive to color and light.

Another render study from photo ref, and some character concepts for class. Inspired by Takashi Okasaki, who was the concept artist for the anime Afro Samurai.

Personal project I am developing

"The Oracle"

Floating before an altar constructed of stars and void, the last remaining prophet inhaled the ether of space. Gazing into the expanse with an inner light that pierced time, she beseeched the Gods, seeking the guidance that eluded so many before her.

For an instant the universe stood still as The Oracle received an spark of divine clarity - hope that she might save humanity. She turned to Earth, taking in its swirling beauty for a brief moment, and then soared towards the surface to track down the Chosen Eight.

Haven't updated in awhile, thought it was a good time for an art dump. Here is a mixture of some of the work I've been doing over the past 6 months. It's a slew of studies, sketches, and finished pieces.
