Lovely set of updates!

I really dig your sketch and process on the Turtle-Head one, feels like something was lost on the final image though.

New fear unlocked: Blue Buzzard of the Skeksis court.
Although still a baby threat compared to the Sonoran Direduck.

Your sketchbook is filled with an amazing types of stylisation, I love the diverse set of subject matter too, like you don't fear going out of your comfort zone, I feel inspired to do the same! Fantastic work :D

Really nice blender stuff. I personally prefer to use the blender addon ucupaint(free addon) to paint on surface or grease pencil(which you can also if you don't know affect in sculpting mode) (might depend on the version you run)
You can check my sketchbook i made a few furniture using that addon.

Thanks Dark  - I'll check out that add-on — Thanks for the tip

Hope you enjoyed the holidays, and a great New Years too!

Loving the updates. The fur on the mouse is crazy good! Loving the Blender stuff you posted especially, the play of light and shadow there is nicely done!

Bravo!!!!!!

Thank you George — That mouse was a fun project for sure!  Thanks for the positive words on the Blender stuff.  I have more Blender stuff posted below.

Hope you're having a great year!!!

Thanks crowbit.  I've been so busy with my digital painting I haven't had time to return to Blender but I posted some older Blender work below.

Hope your 2026 is going great!!

Thank you so much!  You weren't specific about the Turtle-Head piece but I added some rim lighting and brighten it over-all and like it better.  Hope you agree

Thanks again

HA!  Yes — that blue buzzard is nightmare inducing — and the Sonoran Direduck is a existential threat!!

Good to see you, my friend!

Ok — on to some artwork:

Earlier this year I wasn't able to share my 2025 CD finished paintings review — but since I'd already made it around the first of the year — here 'tiz (all images are on page 8)

Did another commission for the pool electrical company — They want more of them which is good news

I call this next one, 'Invitation'

This one is called 'Mostly Peaceful' based on some older sketches

Here's the 2020 sketches I combined for it

Started this one LONG ago but got bogged down trying to add too much.  Recently I gave up on all the extra ideas I had and finally finished it off.

Here the updated Turtle-Head with a tip of the hat to Jay23

And this last painting is the final look of the new 2026 paintings so far

Here's some old Blender stuff I did (One personal, following a tutorial — and two for a 'space' commission)

The ship in this final 'Space Force' logo i made following a very cool tutorial

I'm running outa time — so this will have to do for now.

Thanks for having a look at my SB

Awesome update here Jephyr! Some excellent anatomy here - especially on the Invitation guy with the staff and book!

Thanks so much Artloader!  I appreciate your feedback.

I did another piece with anatomy I'll share below — still relearning everything I've forgotten through the years.  : ?

-------------------------------

Here's a link to a video I made and shared a while back. If you have a good ad blocker you won't see any ads. I don't get a cent for views/visits but it's nice to have people look at it anyway.

Forgot to post this one last time I checked in.  Finished sometime this spring

More anatomy on this one.  Fans of Frazetta will note I studied his background from 'Invaders' and have noticed since finishing this on a LOT of other artists were inspired by it too.

Here's the original character isolated and desaturated.

And the dog seen in the background

I drew the sketch this one is based on ages ago and just finished painting it. (I was inspired by cgmythology's bubble alien)

Here's the old sketch.

And some older work I've never posted here (I think) — there are a couple that might be NSFW — so proceed with caution if yer on the clock

Saw this guy at a place I used to sketch at a lot and went over to him and told him I was an artist and wanted to do his portrait and told him his face had a lot of character.

He said he liked that description and let me take a pic.

I found this snap of my easel when I was finishing up my Prud'hon Masterwork Study I shared recently and decided to post it here too.

When I was going to an anatomy group I did this study - putting the leg muscles over the drawing to the left.

Here's some more Blender stuff back when I was doing a "space commission" a few years ago

OK — I had a lot more to share but think I'll call that good for now.

Hope all is well for you!!
