On my way of finding happiness
#1
Heya.

My name is doog, I'm a russian digital artist.
I used to draw since 2006, mostly as a hobby, and I started on MyBB forums, which inspered and encouraged me to expore art. It was fun, that was the main reason to draw anything in the first place.

Many years went by. Since then I drew my characters, commissions, I worked as an illustrator for kids books, I had years of "art block" as people call it, I went through some art teaching classes. There were ups and downs.

And... I just don't like drawing anymore.
Right now I'm on the crossroads of either completely change my life, start over and learn new skills to stop drawing completely, forget that chapter of my life. Or to re-learn to draw again. Find that joy that motivated me in the past.

So here I am, at the same place where it all began. Forums.
Maybe company and community around will help me somehow.

Hi welcome!

Sounds like you're pretty experienced as an artist, maybe you just need a new project that you're excited by. I feel like I'm kind of in a similar place right now, I don't dislike drawing, but I've slowed down on it, kind of just burned out, I dunno.

Thank you for warm welcome)

Seems like we are indeed in a similiar situation.
I was thinking about hopping on new project as well! Right now I found a job as a comic colorist, which doesn't pay well, but it stimulates me to at least pick the tablet and do something, which is already nice in my situation. I found out that I don't want to sketch or line anything right now, I don't want to "start" the drawing, but I'm comfortable with coloring it. So maybe similiar collaboration can work for you too?
