Hey everyone, I'm Bradley Dimock. I'm a visual development student studying at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. After hopping between schools and majors, taking full-time work, and having general after high school tumbles, I now feel that I'm on the track to fully work towards my dream of being a professional artist.
I knew of Crimson Daggers for quite a few years and was introduced to it by my brother (who also recently joined the forums), and I think that this will be a good move for the next step in my education. I don't post often on forums, but I hope that I will be helpful and insightful when I do.
I'm know that between my formal education, personal studying time, and all of your help, I can get this art train rolling into a career in the entertainment field. I have a graphic novel idea as well that I want to make as a labor of love, and everything that I learn from here can only help in that goal.
I do have a sketchbook here as well. Any feedback or suggestions on how to improve will be appreciated.
See you all on the forums and Livestreams (If I can catch them)!

I've been lurking this site quite a bit and after some thinking I thought I should join since this place seems be a great way to start getting back into an art community. I had lost confidence in myself and my work for about a year and a half but still sketched whenever I could. About to graduate highschool in a few months going to UDT to major in Arts and Technology and I want to improve and meet like minded people doing so.
I mainly draw animals and creatures, wanting to work on improving my humans and broaden into other things. What I want to do one day is do concept work for the fauna and people of a games or movies world. I do world building and concept sketches for a forum and dA group I run with a friend, I hope to be uploading a sketchbook soon as I get back into drawing and building back up the confidence I lost. Its nice to meet you and lets improve together.

Well here goes nothing. My name is Marco (I feel like I am at a group therapy session), I am 27 and I don't really know why I haven't joined this forum sooner. Anyway, I am trying to get into the freelancing industry, I have done works here and there, but not really pushed too hard. I am here for advice, critiques and general knowledge. I am a big fan of concept art to illustration, and I really want to take my art to the next level. I hope you guys can help :)

hi people!!
i found out about crimson daggers through dave's youtube channel
at first i didn't pay much attention and was only interested in streams but i visited this forum today. and now i know this place is serious business!!
so im Altaf / Xcarbon
i work full time but i've always wanted to be a concept artist!
i have a really awesome job because in middle of work i can whip out some papers and a pencil and start drawing and no one says anything!!
so i realized that i wasnt being REALLY serious about art nearly about a year ago when i had an awakening!! and since then ive been working hard to improve myself and been drawing every single day !!
my primary motive to come here is to find people that i can talk and connect with as an artist!
help me improve and i'll do the same for you and others!!

Hello!
My name is Ingvild, I'm a 19 year old IT student from Oslo, Norway.
I've recently submitted an application to the Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark and hope to be admitted there this fall. I have a passion for art and am planning to publish my sketchbook here in the future. I'm hoping for some critique on my work as I always strive to be better at what I love :>
Cheers!

Hi. I'm Sandra.
I started studying game design in 2008 with the goal to become a 2d artist. But in our study we only could choose between 3d art and programming and so I went for programming because I'm not really into 3d. Therefor I got kinda distracted and after I graduated in 2011 I went for a job as developer. But soon after I realized that I wanted to go back to art. It was a tough decision. As developer I would have been financial secure. But yeah, I jumped into the cold water and started over in the beginning of 2012.
Last year I had my first internship as 2d concept artist in a local games company here in Berlin and currently I have my first little freelance job, where I do all assets for a 2d side scroller game for an independent developer from New York.
Despite that I'm still a newbie. There is so much I have to learn and I hope that it will be lot of fun with you guys. This community seems to be really great and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.
Thanks for reading!

Hello!
I'm ebi from the Netherlands!
I picked up drawing 2 years ago, but due to a pretty bad case of RSI (5 years and counting) only really got into it last October. It's a lot better now, but I still have to be careful.
I'm an engineering student (wtf was I thinking XD) and during themes where the programming is heavy my RSI tends to flare up. So during those times, I usually have to stop drawing or risk a slew of sleepless nights from pain:/.
I try to draw as much as I can afford to, but it's a slow journey for me.
My guilty pleasure is to think maybe one day I can become good enough to be an illustrator or some such thing....
But my current realistic goal is to just enjoy drawing whilst slowly improving and to get over my fear of drawing in "the wild" before Summer.
I'm still a beginner, but I hope there'll be a place for me here :)
This community looks really interesting. I still have a lot to figure out though...
I read about live streams, groups, partners, studie thingies....
In any case, I'll pitch up a sketchbook in the SB section and hang out there for now, but I hope one day to have the confidence to join a sketch group or find a partner.
Thanks for reading!
