Sat down this afternoon and did some designs for my dwarves staff. I am calling it "The Shard" As i wanted it to look like a piece of the rock that had been chipped from the golem and used by the dwarf to gain control of the golem.

Scanned these in will now render them roughly in photoshop and then design some more equipment for the dwarve that will hopefully give me a strong design for him.
Thanks !

-Sam

p.s im trying to keep the connection and bond between my golem and dwarve pretty strong because i believe it should be that way due to the emotional and magic bond that they share.

Great work guys, it's apparent you are much more disciplined in your process than me. Learning a lot watching people work. Thanks!

Nice job everyone!!!

Here are my thumbnails, Character designs, and material studies... I found that this way of studying is better for me because I can concentrate more on how the materials work and apply it to my lighting... Plus it is just a sphere so I can overpaint it a couple of times very quickly before I get it right...

And here is my final illustration... She is a puppet mistress and her golem the two-headed, four-armed puppet made out of different toys, puppets, manikins etc...

Awesome stuff everyone! Can't believe there's even a final posted up here now..

I don't think I'll be able to get mine done in time, but I'll try anyways and plan to finish it afterwards if not :)

I've done some more detailed sketches of the sorceress and the golem, and feel confident enough to try and tackle the illustration now - perhaps make some final design changes there.

Did some studies too :)

Now on to the final!!!
