It's really cool of you to put this together! I'd like to participate.

Quick intro: I'm a 2D/3D/UI/Everything video game artist that wants to get better at concept art since it informs everything else I do.

I specifically enjoy environments/worldbuilding but I have trouble designing interesting architecture and getting landscapes into finished states. I want to ramp up my visual library for environment design, as well as learn how to make properly constructed pieces faster and looser.

There's some enviro stuff in Page 1 of my sketchbook (in my sig) and a bunch more of my work (few years old now but I haven't improved a lot since :/ ) at http://www.john-broadway.com/index.html#2d

Hey guys thanks for the comments and interest!  We have already passed 30 people who are keen, which is more than I anticipated, so it is time to get this party organised!  


SIGNUPS ARE NOW CLOSED due to the huge amount of interest.   If you haven't signed up you can still do the assignments and participate in the class threads and view the crit streams, but If I take on more people I won't be able to guarantee personalised crits due to numbers. Sorry!

I would also like to participate, my name is Eduardo and i've been trying to get better at art since i was a teenager. 
I quit an art job in advertisement that i hated in 2013 to start doing my own work.

I have a background in animation and i want to be able to make interesting environments for animations and games.

I am really enjoying reading about where you guys are at and want to get to, and looking through your work.  If you haven't registered using the sign up form please make sure you do at some point.

I will keep your names and contact info completely confidential. I only need it for admin purposes.

Class Stream.
I have also decided to go with Sywork (https://sywork.tv) for the streaming portions of the course. Even though it is a pretty new startup, it is the only streaming service dedicated to artists, and that has got to be good! I have tested the features and even at Beta level seem pretty good for our needs.

I am Anirudh and i am from India. I am currently studying video game art but I've always been interested in concept art for films and games and i love environments and world building. I find it kinda hard to refine the concepts to a production level as somehow they end up looking flat. I've mostly been self taught so having a mentor and getting to learn the basics rights will really help me a lot. Looking forward to it and thank you for this great initiative.

@Art44: Yep, streams will be saved on my channel so you can catch up if you missed something. I will probably also host them on youtube, for redundancy. I will also be recording a local file for each stream. Triple redundancy!

I am going to try scheduling stream times so that they fall into the weekend and during acceptable times for the major zones (US, EU and Asia pacific), so hopefully most will be able to show up.
