Nice work trying out stick figures. They will help you a ton so do a lot of them. I would suggest drawing a single horizontal line for the shoulders and one for the hips. Also I highly recommend studying the skeleton. It will help you understand proportions of the body and boney landmarks that you can usually see on a person like the collar bone, the bottom of the ribcage and the hip bones. You can click and drag the photo to spin the skeleton around to see it from all angles. Study that and then draw your stick figures to more closely represent the basic skeletal system. Keep it up and dont get discouraged!
