sucks how even a few days not doing art carries you in the opposite direction. ;\

Here's a quick paint study I did last night of a caterpillar I unfortunately can't identify the species of. I need to get better at capturing details...

Heliux That latest one turned out really nice! Maybe darker occlusion shadows can help to fix things to the desk more. I think the one above with the orange pepper is nicest looking one to me, seeing the linework gives it a real clean, nice look. Keep going buddy ^^

1h study, and the color of the breads was killing me, it still does. I had to use the color picker and see that my hue was right but my saturation and brightness should be higher.

Hey do you guys keep a theme on these studies , or is it just random , I'm looking for a group like this that could motivate me to work harder, I just find myself overwhelmed with all the fields of the arts and knowing that I must study all of them

NinoKitteN for me it's better to focus in some subject for a period of time, but it's always hard decide what is best to do first, what I need to do first.
These are my last studies, people:

my current schedule: I use the "free study" days as more active problem solving days to more organically focus on what I feel like I need to, but the structure keeps me consistent. This schedule is just for the next couple months...tight enough to have a grasp, loose enough to be fluid. Good luck. ;P

Head/form studies from earlier in August:
Rusty bust study. ;\ perspective tilt. trying to match the lighting a little too. I'd like to do tighter versions of these, but also don't want to get caught noodling details for hours. Light/inclination & Comp studies.
