Pookaball's lazy sketches
#1
In this thread I will post my unfinished/effortless works which are mostly scene thumbnails and flat-coloured characters. I will try to update at least once or twice in a week.

The good point for the moment is that you use grey scale.Next work on perspective. Also try to add more depth in those painting by using the advice in this link http://gomedia.us/zine/tutorials/rule-ad...h-designs/

So I was on holidays for 11 days and couldn't update but now I'm back. I made a few drawinds there, but they were mostly just messing around. My "task" for the next months will be learning how to draw people, specifically with bulky, strong chests and slim legs. I will try to post progress here.

Feel free to ask here or in PM about the pics in the album I sent because I'm too lazy to make up descriptions :c

Decided to draw people for September, and most of those are from September, but some are from August I think :c
I'm so much better at posing than colouring/filling the details/outlining actual shape that I didn't even include those useless tries :c
Sorry for doing so little :c

You should mix study of anatomy and gesture don't bother going into color you must do more hand and foot.
Also don't forget to start by using reference then try to do it by imagination.

More sketches. I think they are from the past few days, but I swear I forgot when I drew this.

They are mostly in new-to-old order, I think...

I haven't really got the chance to check out those tuts, I seem to have time to doodle around, but something is always against me when I need to see the tuts.

Later I will update this post with a few doodles from today (9/26/9).

I have been reading up, getting help and trying new things. Unfortunately, there's nothing to show, except a few scribbles:

Wow, I took my time with uploading this little update.
Either way, the photos are mostly in old-to-new order, with the first photo being taken about 12 days ago, and the newest one taken today.
I was trying to get back into sketching after not doing it for a month or so, but then the school days started, but I still try to draw a few people every day, or every two days. Also I'm trying to sketch landscapes, but there is not much to show for now.

Hello! This is another update, which almost took me a month.

The images are mostly meant to be in old-to-new order.
I think I have kind of improved over time, but I guess it's up to you to say if I did!

Hello! It was a somewhat productive week for me, though I am sure I could have done more.
Sadly, I didn't do gestures and focused on imagination stuff; trying to figure out if there is a different way of holding my pencil.

I have finally got around to updating my CD sketchbook, after like two weeks.
Recently I have bought a book by Barrington Barber, and Jon also told me to get books by Andrew Loomis and Ernest Norling, which I did get and now I need to do the exercises shown there.

I don't see any reply apart from mine i think i find why by sending people to imgur you make them work to see your stuff so my advice attach the image to the post instead so you can get fast reply .I am sure you will get more feed back if you follow my advice .On a other subject try to use less straight line and add more curve or else you get those stiff pose and do a lot of gesture drawing not just people standing straight.

Here some place where you can get some image to start doing gesture:

Okay, I will try to follow your line related advice, and I sure need to visit gesture drawing websites.
Either way, this week was overly unproductive.

It better do something then nothing . The more you pratice the more you get use to longer practice if you gradually increase the pratice time .The key is to push a little more so that you alway stay out of the comfort zone also each time the laziness strike try to remember why you start the drawing session it important to work with a objective in mind. I would like to share something with you

I have read the waitbutwhy procastination article before, and I really like it and totally agree with it, so I figure reading the rest of those articles will help as well.
