Finally finished that character piece for uni! A bit over 15 hours and a lot of coffee went into this thing Although it got a bit rushed towards the end ( damn you deadline! ) I'm content with how it turned out.

Everything looks so good man. Love the angle in that last piece. Self portraits and pencils are awesome as always. Keep it coming. Inspiring stuff :)

Ooh bunch of nice selfportraits on page 13. Fun to see how you experiment with them all and push them into different styles. I especially like the green spade (or heart!) Contrasts soo good with the color of your skin and the black background. Great harmony.

I also dig the angle of the last piece! But I think that you can tone down some of the details and not have them everywhere. Mostly the grass right now, could benefit the piece if that area gave the composition a resting place. Let's call it detail-economy :P

Bjulvar - Thank you! And you're absolutely right. Now that I think about it, even though I spent a lot of time on that piece, I don't think I even like it. Way too many highlights, the perspective isn't accurately placed, I FREAKING USED THE GRASS BRUSH and loooads of other stuff wrong with it. I guess considering it as a steppingstone is a good idea. Thanks for coming by man! :)

Doing a lot of GoT studies must be pretty inspiring, maybe do a personal piece of some dirty, gritty knight? Seems like a good application for such studies. Keep it up, yes!
