;__; Thank YOU so much for that! I've been pulling my hair out when I stress soooo much anatomy while avoiding swooping, simple 2D lines! Been working to really do a balancing act of keeping things natural/realistic but simplified and direct. Again, thanks for noticing!

Just dropping more live figures and Old Master copies after Daumier, Velazquez and Ribera. Will dedicate more life to doing more of these copies. Much to learn from them!

Good morning. Just showing the last of my pages. These consist of museum copies after Lautrec, Gustave Moreau, and Watteau. The woman and child come from a photo collage assembly I saw at the local contemporary museum.
Some new exhibits opened up so I'm excited to fill up my new sketchbook with some favorites that I saw. Enjoy.

Gracias! Always a good thing when the eyes are satisfied.

Hey! I just wrapped up two big sketchbooks these last few months. I was pretty busy but still managed to squeeze in some sessions and whatnot. These are some short-poses.

Long-poses from 90mins-3hrs. Had fun and learned lots. Really wish there was more though.

Foreshortening is hard and challenging...but fun! Hate the cast shadow from the knee and that was a struuuggle. Sitting figure was an issue because the head was smaaall which is a common error for me. My friend called me out that morning so I appreciate that.

Just dropping a last batch of quick sketches, museum copies and a 90-min pose.

This is a 3hr long pose. Came late, head was blocked (by phone for virtual artists on zoom), so I freaked out thinking I wasn't going to get anything. Managed with what I could.

Good work. Nice to see somebody going to actual life drawing as well :)

You do a great job of capturing the subtle changes in the contour, and w/ the shadow shapes. Inspiring stuff.

Thank You Sir. Yeah, I learn so much from the live model in front of me.
