  Salute!
Posted by: Per Moritz - 06-27-2013, 08:40 AM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - Replies (1)

Hey there. My name is Per Moritz, and I'm nice to this site :) I'm 18 years old and I currently live in Sweden, and will start reading my 3'rd and final year in gymnasium, where I read game design (graphics).

I've been painting and fideling with graphics for about 2 years now, and it has quickly gotten to be one of my biggest passions :) I hope to share my art work with you and get some feedback, aswell as giving it. And ofcourse making a ton of new friends :)

After my current line of education I hope to go to a fancy art school, and study either ilustration or game art, and I dream of working with art day in and day out.

Sorry if it sound a bit rambly, just so excited!

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

The names John and I'm one of many from an art class taught by Noah Bradley that will be joining your community shortly :)

A little specifics about me. I'm 25 years young currently working as a mining permit technician at an engineering firm whom has dabbed in art off and on for many years. I'm mostly an environmental artist although I wish to get into figures more. As for my current experience? I am mostly self-taught with a class from CGMA and Noah's class.

As for future goals. Well one can dream or envision one's future but it may not necessarily work out that way. If I had to choose I would say a conceptual artist for Bethesda but let's not focus on that for quite some time. I look forward to being with you all.

Thanks.

Wink Hello there!
Posted by: Shaun Roboticvs - 06-27-2013, 08:25 AM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - Replies (1)

Hello everyone my name is Shaun 'Roboticus' Thomas I'm 25 years old and I live in hawaii. I joined Crimson daggars in hopes of meeting and networking with young aspiring artists. Being on a rock out in the middle of the largest ocean in the world, it's hard to find and meet up with other young artists. I dont have the best skills when it comes to art but I'm certainly going to give it 100%.
Ultimately my Goal is to work as a Creative Director or Designer for the TV/VideoGame/Film Indusrties. Until then I plan on devoting the majority of my free time to creating epic fantasy landscapes/environments, and character design.
If theres anyone else out the who joined CD through Noah's Summer art Camp dont forget to frend me!

  A new challenger has come!

I'll try to keep this all short and simple.
My name is Eva Bonita, a 20 year-old female who seeks passion in art specifically targeting concept art, illustration, and comic books esp. in character design...

...at least that's what I want to say that I do for a living. Right now, I'm still developing myself and researching all the ups and downs of this industry. I would say I'm a student since everyday, I strive to do all the research I can do really make it into this industry. I was an art student who did go to a real art school for 3 years, but I decided that I was in the wrong place. I'll say this now, I was in the Art Institute for Game Art and Design...
...but I learned so little in a span of all those years, and I decided that I need to get out and do this on my own. That was when I found all these amazing websites, magazines, and artists that ACTUALLY have something to do with what I want to do.

Specific goal:
-Be an illustrator and comic book artist for Udon Comics. Everyone's art style is different but at the same time, so unified. And this also branches down to being...
-A character designer working for Capcom. Well, okay. So that's like the hardest dream to achieve. It's my ultimate one as well. And I know I can be at least close to them through Udon. Almost everything Capcom has produced (Street Fighter, Ace Attorney, Devil May Cry, etc.) I could say has ultimately contributed what I am now as a growing artist. That's why I want to be there when all the art is being done.

Biggest Influence:
-Noah Bradley. That guy, man. He is unbelievable. I first discovered him in youtube with his 30 minute video of The Art of Freelancing. That's when it all started. I looked at his portfolio, read all of his blog posts, and purchased the full 4-hour video of The Art of Freelancing. Through him, I was also able to discover other amazing artists (and there are way too many to mention and I know I will in time get to know more and more of them). The ultimate piece that led me to become a much better and knowledgeable artist is the Noah's Summer Art camp. We're his first test subjects of 400+ people from all over the world... and we have all immensely improved. Noah, more power to you. More power to YOU.
PS: He was the one who recommended Crimson Daggers to me. :D
-Alvin Lee. He is the man. The man I want to be (and not in the sense you might be thinking about). He's living my dream. He's in Udon, does comics and illustration, has worked for games like Street Fighter, and I always gawk at the art work he does whenever I visit his site. Someday, I plan to take up his course in Schoolism and be under his wing. That would be dream as of now.

How I'm going to achieve my dream, it's all just coming to me. I definitely want to learn more and more, and I know Crimson Daggers will be a great contributor to my success.

Let the art live on.

Hi! My name is Pam, and I'm 18 and a linguistics/anthropology student at SDSU. I stumbled upon this forum purely by accident, and it's the type of art community I've been looking for for a pretty long while. I've only been taking art seriously in the past...five or six months or so, and that mostly consisted of bumbling through Pixelovely's figure drawing tool and starting on some extremely rough concept work for a setting for a story that I would like to eventually turn into a series of graphic novels.

My main goal, I think, would be to improve on digital painting/digital art in general. Also get
better at character/costume design, environments, creature design, and sequential art.

I don't have a Designated Professional Art Tumblr/Website™, but I post sketches and artwork on my main blog under an art tag.

In addition, here are some sketches I am particularly proud of at the moment (links) :

one
two
three(old)
four(also old)

All of these are ballpoint pen, so forgive the messiness.

Hi. You can call me Jen or CitrusVeggie, whatever you prefer. I am an animation student fresh out of SCAD who is dissatisfied with the progress I've made in my 4 years attending that institution (it is not at the fault if my teachers-- they did the best they could with me). I discovered Crimson Daggers through the conceptart.org Facebook forum. I really like the look of this artist community and hope this will help me to better understand other artists's work methods and determine the best way to improve my own work. I am hoping with time and practice I can reach a point where I'm more satisfied with the work I produce.

You can check out my work at jenniferfrisco.com (requires Flash Player - not compatible with mobile just yet)

Hey there. I'm new here. My name is Sallie Rios. I had made an account a couple months back but didn't get to use it. Now I'm here exploring the site to see if it has what I need. I need critique for my works, painting advice, any advice really. I'm working hard trying to learn everything I can but going the self taught path is not easy and it gets overwhelming sometimes. ^^'

I'm 23, I have a BA in English Literature and I'm working on a Masters in Translation. Not really interested enough in all that but I've always been good with languages so what the hell, I needed something practical. What I love to do is art. It is the only thing that can get me off my ass to spend countless hours working. I don't think anything motivates me like art does so I keep at it, hoping I get better, it's happening but slowly. I want it to go faster, hence my presence here. Let's see if it helps.

Hey brotherhood of the Crimson Daggers!

I've been meaning to be active on here for a super long time...ever since seeing Dave's turtles on deviantart and finding his live streams and learning lots through the bloodsports judging and so on! I have to thank Dan and Dave as they have truly helped me with how i approach my artwork, whenever I need a creative boost just re-watch an episode.

So, I'm Chris, 22 and from the UK.

nice to meet you :)
