Hey people.
Thought I'd let myself be known. 20 year old college student, here. I didn't find out what I really wanted to do (digital painting, illustration, etc.) until the end and the beginning of my first and second year of college. I'm now in my 3'rd year of college, just mulling through it, and painting/drawing as much as I can.
Just looking for a place to grow, and find the insight I seek in terms of learning. Can't wait to get to sharing some of my work, and getting to know you guys. :]

Hello everyone :)
I'm 24 and from Ireland - so great, big arm-waving hellos from the Emerald Isle.
I recently finished a degree in graphic design from the NCAD in Dublin. I like design and logos for sure, but my real love has always been sketchbooks and pencils and illustrations. There's not really a culture for this kind of thing here so for a long time I was pretty ignorant about what to do - but no more excuses ;) So after discovering this lovely forum in the summertime, I admitted to myself that I needed to get back on the horse and start some serious study if I wanted to get anywhere.
Hope to see you lovelies around the boards! Come say hello if you'd like, I'm really quite nice :)

Hello,
Greetings from germany. My name is Annett I am 35 old. I have a little son (my meaning of my life) and am married with a very understanding men. I earn my money with developing software. It was once my dreamjob. Since 2 years I have the needing to do much more creative work. Developing contains too less creativity. My big goal is to live from painting. Until then my normal job must pay my bills.
With a child and a husband its very difficult to found enough time to practise. I have loved to play games like WOW and oblivion but I give it up for practising. If I have luck I can spend 6-8 hours with my beloved wacom per week.
My comfortzone is painting landscapes. I must expand my skills in painting humans / creatures and the shading and lightning. I create landscapes mostly with painter 12 or traditional. All other stuff creatures and so i do with PS.
I found this site on brents profile in DA. I am sure that I can improve my skills with your crits. I looked at different sketchbooks, wow they are really great. You all do a great jobs.
If there are some questions, don't be shy and ask me.
Anna

Hello, somebody told me to find this site to improve and post my sketchbook on for critique.
Some backstory about me, I am a Junior at Ringling College of Art and Design and want to be a conceptual artist for games and movies. Yes, I know everybody and their mom wants to get into that category of art and I know it's quite a challenge to get a job into it, but I figure you guys can help me achieve that goal so I may succeed in that career path. So yeah, I might as well post my sketchbook here.

Hola! My name's Tom from NYC. I'm a recent grad from art school. I'm looking for critiques to keep myself motivated and inspired. My first love was comics but I'm currently leaning towards children's illustrations and just polishing my portfolio. I love making digital art and painting in oils.

Hi! I saw a video on YouTube of live streaming and it brought me to this forum. I browsed for a bit and was very impressed. I do hope to be an active member and participate in the incredible things you all are doing.
I feel that my draftsmanship and design skills are high, but I want to really polish up my digital painting.
I find the random generators to be a valuable source of inspiration and look forward to growing as an artist here.
