Hi everyone. My name is Pete Dora. I'm a professional artist, and I work full time for a company that makes slot machines. I'm trying to branch out and get some freelance to work to supplement my income and get myself into some of the other realms of illustration and concept art. Kind of just trying to make a name for myself.

I know I have a lot of learning and growing to do, and I'm excited about this community. I really need to start telling a story with my art and making better compositions in general as well as just adding backgrounds to my art.

BLABBER - Just recapping my life to this point in a "brief" summary - God Speed!

My name is Ali Swei and I run by Spitboi (as you can tell). I am 21 turning 22 relatively soon and studying game design out in Worcester, MA. I have been drawing my tail off as of late and thanks to the Daggers I have been pushing myself further than ever before.

Art background revolves around almost everything being self taught (who isn't at this point?) and doing manga/anime crap for a while. I still look back at it and its obviously in my personal 'style' (don't like that word ><) and enjoy it a lot. I was working my tail off for a good 5 years from 5th grade till 10th grade but took a long break for 4 years where it was just doodling. In the past 6 months I have been working on anatomy and some digital and its paying off!

I thought I was great and looked at concept artists as demigods but looking back at my ignorance I realize that I am going to never be good enough forever (in my eyes) and just waiting and working towards my turn to become a "demigod" as it will be inevitable if I work hard enough.

ANYWAYS!!

Here are some goals for personal reference for down the line:
If I can get good enough to get at least some commissions around/before graduating and have some kind of name for myself.

4) COMPOSITION
5) Lighting
6) Values
7) Hand/Eye/Lower body/extremity anatomy
8) LOTSA STUDIES!
9) MORE STUDIES!!
10) ZBrush/Sculpting
11) Tons of digital painting/drawing and being able to do linework!

Man this can go on forever, I have class in an hour but this turned into a diary entry for myself!

I am Wolkenfels - a 44 year old german guy. Some may know me because i hang around in other peoples livestreams a lot.
I started painting very late in life. In the beginning i did tracing (yeah - blame me - but i think it is a common beginner thing) than i did some coloring of other ppls lineart and the last months i mainly did studies.
I think it is time to go a step forward and so i will try the actual bloodsport challenge. I just hope i can do it.

hi my name is joao (jonh), i have 24 years old and im studyng visual arts and multimedia... what can i say more? huum... i follow this forum for weeks now and i am amazed with the works here... sorry about my english but sometimes i forget some words, but i understand it well :)

I found crimson daggers when reading Imagine FX and now here i am. I do some work as a story board artist and i would love to do more concept art work so i am right now trying to learn as much as i can as fast as i can. So i am here to learn and to be around all this awesome art.

My name is Florian, I live in Berlin and I am 25 years old.
I studied game design, just to learn that game design, fun as it may be, is not my primary passion. After working for a short while as a gamedesigner in a company, I lost my job and since then I am working on being a better artist. My current jobsituation is really helping me because I have an internship as Junior Graphic assistant, which means I am using photoshop at least 8 hours a day, 3 days a week, and I draw on the way there (only 30 min, but still)

I have sketched and drawn since I was a little kid, but never payed too much attention to the basics. Since january this year I really try to get a sense for the basics (anatomy, colortheory, composition... erm did I miss something?^^) but since I am fairly new to the topic and been rather resistant to get out there and share much of my stuff, I am not sure, if my approaches are "correct" (if there is such thing).

A friend of mine told me about the crimson daggers livestream and since I am a big super meat boy fan (what does this have to do with anything?...) and dave made those two awesome illustrations of the topic I was a big fan of his work since then.

So here I am now, in the middle of getting somewhere, and I hope to find in this forum the place to grow with fellow wanderers. (cheesy line, but I think you get it :)

My names Sean Donaldson, I have been in the games industry for three years working at Eurocom games, from which I left just recently and have this week moved over to full time freelancing.

I'm an avid gamer and love to be inspired by them! I was going to join in on the Zelda challenge but due to moving from my job, time was of the essence and I only managed a few thumbs and a link render. Will make a sketchbook here and post once I get more time to work on them. Anyway, I will see you guys in the bloodport arena with my game face on! Cant wait to start learning from each other!
