This is my first time joining an art community. I looked around a little and this website is really cool.

About me, Im a college kid who just likes art. I heard art school isnt worth it and I dont have the money to suddenly decide to go to art school anyway, so Im trying my best to improve on my own right now. My goals are to improve my drawing skills in general and also learn to use colored pencils.

Hello guys! I've heard about this forum on a podcast and in a short time again during an interview with an artist I admire very much. So, it took me a few days until I actually came here and signed u, but I'm very impressed with everything I've seem on this forum, it feels like this is one amazing community! Congratulations on everybody's efforts and I hope I can be of any help here!
My name's Manoela and I'm a Brazilian freelance digital artist. I''m graduated in graphic design and I've been in love with illustration from a very early age, and 2 years ago I've started working as a fulltime freelance illustrator. It's not always easy for me to keep up with my bills here in Brazil, but I was very impressed at first at how this was actually POSSIBLE. So yeah, always have a backup plan, but do take a shot at your dreams, I guess. I do have the support of my family too, both emotional and ( if I ever need to rely to that) financial.
Currently, I work with analogic games (mostly card games) and editorial illustration (mostly for book covers and inside illustrations). Most of my work is based on fantasy illustration, and I work my best to improve at this field so that in the future I can work mainly with that.
I try to always study, sometimes with some nice online courses such as the Magic Box (Oatley Academy) of with Schoolism (thank you Bobby Chiu!), but sometimes I do come up with my own personal projects and self tough lessons. This is the folder where I generally post my studies:

 My name is Anwar.  I'm 34.  I've loved art before I could talk but I didn't get the guts to start chasing it til about 10 years ago.  I don't really want to go over my story.  I just wanted to say I'm here because I want to improve.  I found this site by watching Dave Rapoza's bonus content on the Bog Witch.  
  Currently I draw a sketch a day to get better on top of whatever other freelance I got going on.  I also work for a corporation as an illustrator.  It's a safe job but I'm not satisfied.  Overall I'm not satisfied with my work and I want to improve and just keep learning and getting better at making things.  Below are some things I've worked on and at the bottom is Apocalypse, a piece I'm trying to take to as realistic of a level as I can get.

My name is John Hayes, I have been a 3D character artist for video game development for almost 2 decades.

Coming from a background in traditional sculpting and hand drawn animation, I transitioned into digital art by learning on the job. I was fortunate to help design, model and animate characters for several games published by Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft. My current day-job is creating characters for Super Evil Megacorp.

Funny thing is.. my break into game development started with concept design, but 99% of the time I have been modeling, animating, and painting textures. Now I am looking to go back to the basics as well as continue and learn to grow, maybe even find ways to use 3D to augment my 2D art.

I'm no exactly an artist but I did love to draw as a child (25 now) and lately I've been really wanting an outlet for my creative juices. With a job, house, and wife I don't really get much time to myself these days but I'm hoping with some support I can find the drive to improve my meager skills :)
