Hey, nice works! I really like those studies and personal works! I know what you mean about the art block, sometimes I just watch a video (like Neil Gaiman's inspirational speech or a famous artist biography), doodle or just lurk into my inspiration folder, maybe one of those can help you?

I need help with this sketch of wonderful Arthas! The arm. It's really bothering me. I've been at this for hours now, using reference and everything but it still doesn't seem quite right.... Does anyone have any advice?



And a WIP of the Wicked Lady. I'm getting nostalgic here....

The guy looks okay, kind of a smallish head. Maybe extend the canvas to the bottom and left, add a ground plain, just until you sketch the figure then re frame the composition to what you want.

Your work has so much style and imagination its funny to hear about trouble with artists block. oh - and I like your cats

Started out with something like this... and I was like: meh.



Then I started this and thought it had potential.

Hi Lulolana. Really like the pink haired lady portrait. The environment piece is cool but I think the composition is lacking something. The first one that you thought was a bit meh I find more interesting because of the overlapping shapes and strong division of fore/mid and background. It's also nicely divided into thirds with the rock face and moon. The second one feels a bit cut in half or in need of some focal point now that you've led our eye down this central path. Discalimer: I'm crap at environments so listen to me a your own peril.

Here's what I'm currently working on....

Yesterday I did a little live study. I didn't finish it though because I got so damn tired.... but I will definitely do these more often now.



Aaaand the progress of the enviroment I've been working on





now I have a little issue. I want to add flags flowing in the wind but I just can't seem so get them right. I can't find any good reference for it either... so do you guys have any advice?

Hi Lulolana! I really love your colours, they're so well blended and work really well together! You asked a couple of posts back about your Arthas sketch. I might be wrong, but to me the top part of his arm looks too small. It might be just me, but I thought I'd mention it, maybe it will help!
