Hey John, these Hampton studies look great! Is he the only anatomy master you've studied from? Looks like you're learning loads!

Great to learn from Hampton ! You will learn tons with him ! :D

If you'd like to combine him with others I'd suggest you to study Bridgman and Loomis too :)

@smrrfette: I studied some Loomis a while ago but didn't stick to it.
@Izzual : I am definetly going to do that. When i finish fully studying Michael Hampton, i will move to Loomis and Bridgman

Studies are looking great and going well mate, good work on the environment just be careful to paint what you see and not in symbols. Only example of that I can see is the angle of the houses roof is flat where in the photo its angled, hope Ive helped mate.

Soo.. yeah.. i got bored of Hampton. I will go back to it though. :D










That last one I'm thinking of doing a full piece of it, I want to know how far I can go so I can continue to improve! Crits and stuff are appreciated!

Argg, i'm really frustrated because of those two landscapes, i can't get the values nor the atmosphere on the painting... I'm just going to spend some hours looking and studying some Feng Zhu stuff in grayscale tomorrow.
If any of you have any suggestions to save me, I'd appreciate it a alot

Heeeey, I got a schedule down and i'll to do everything it says for atleast a week, lets get started! --- :D
So this is from the a few days ago that i just felt like trying out some CA challenges, im not really sure if I'll finish anything.







I did not like the composition, or the values i got there, so i re-did it.


Stuff from today , and i managed to delete a skull study that i had done previous to the one below..

Thinking I should quit this approach to gesture drawing.. It's not going well.. i loved doing these 90sec animals! so much fun
Still Life, study of beaaar and some thumbnails to apply a little bit of what i learned from the study and to what i think (hope) i will take on to a finished piece.. And i loved doing these 90sec animals! so much fun
