Back for my bi-annual attempt to maintain and refrain. Maintain some momentum however interrupted and abrupt, and refrain from divulging the many woes that cause said disruption. 

I have very much lost misplaced my identity this year. There has been no aim, no goal, no planned next steps. As always, I am a textbook case of burnout and the well-rumored harrowing of a corporate work life. Coming home in a catatonic state and doing the bare minimum except what brings joy in the moment, and trying to forget the shame of having so many unfinished projects.

Anyway...

I Did received my fabric with my design printed. Nothing made of it yet - definitely ordered too much so there's opportunities to play around with different items. Otherwise, I could hawk it on one of the many sewing groups as a limited item and watch the alt grannies scramble...



I Attempted a sketch journal, just snapshots of the week. I made it one page into March. Cute tho'. 



I signed up for a secret art show thing. You get given three cards with codes on the back. Paint it - collage, whatever, send it back and they add it to their shows across the country. Everything is $100 which goes to charity. No one knows who they're buying from until they buy it, so there are famous artists in amongst novices. I left it really late, and so I did one throwaway, one thing I would normally do, and one thing I thought would sell (a dragonfruit, and lo and behold - it's the only one that has). If I fall any further I may just paint generic pictures of fruit for a living. 

 I won't share my shame, instead here's the one I actually put thought into. 



Saw a pretty thing, tried to draw a pretty thing - all I had was HB that's as dark as it was gonna get. 



Somewhere amongst all this I painted a bunch of Chanterelle mushrooms - the idea being a sticker sheet. Chicks dig sticker sheets.

I did eventually get around to putting a herb garden in and so I have at least been making the opportunity to go outside and touch grass. 




Is this all a little sad? Maybe. But, I persist on praising not the life I lead, but that which I ought to lead. I follow it at a mighty distance, crawling.

Those mushroom have a really nice vibrance to them they surely make good sticker. I really enjoy design that fill the page they remind me of removable tattoo sheet i really enjoy as a kid maybe you could do some skull with that goal in mind or just sticker if that your lane.
