Ive been a fan of crimson daggers since the kekai kotaki interview and I've watched every interview and crimson critters episode since!

my goal is to one day be as good as Dave or Dan, and start giving back to the community of artists in a big way like they have :)

I learned about this forum from Syrca and thought I'd give it a try.

My name is Mario, I'm 26 and I'm from Buffalo, NY. I've always been into drawing, but I didn't really start taking it seriously until a few years ago and I would like to step it up some more. I went to The Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Game Art and Design and graduated a few years ago. My education was primarily focused on 3D, but I stopped doing 3D the day after I finished school and started focusing on 2D games. It has been almost 3 years since then. I'm much better than I was, but I need to put in a lot more effort than I have been. I don't ever plan to get an industry job and would rather focus on my own games and projects. I have canceled dozens of projects since finishing my second games and can't seem to stop. I think it's because I'm working alone now, unlike my previous games.

Introduction

Hey guys!

My name's Alexander Lebedev (Alex), alias Eleven, and I just graduated small Communication Design college.

My life goal was to be involved in making Video games, since they kinda saved (or ruined, who knows..) my entire childhood living in Russia. I forcefully moved to Germany as i was 13 and been living here ever since. I loved doodling and with google's help realized that one can doodle for living, so I was thrilled to chose my career path as concept artist. I started taking classes in drawing since I'm 16 years old and after long time looking for someone to teach me art fundamentals in my Area (which is impossible) I kinda gave up on it and tried teaching myself, as I took classes in Graphic Design (with major in Illustration) at one local college. The only good thing happened to me in this school is that I met a very good mentor there, which helped me a lot with my self-studying. But I still had to do a lot of stuff which didn't have to anything with art at all, so these 4,5 years have been almost a waste of time. But now that I graduated I can finally really start kicking myself to become better at Sketching and painting.

TL;DR: I tried being good at art, but failed due to college. Now I'm free and willing to make up for it, since I'm 23 and there's not much time left if I want to enjoy other things in life.

I am glad to join!! i am flavien Lamy alias Babus.
I am french but working in Vietnam as a lead illustrator for Gloops, a japanese Video game company doing essentially trading card games for (smart)phones and facebook.

My goals:
I have been working as generalist (3Dmodelisation/texturing, illustration, interfaces, ect) for some years in Video game industry but want to specialized myself as illustrator
-Keep improving my skills particularly in illustration and concept art,
-I am doing actually the 12 weeks course which is great, i had a kind of cartoony style and want to master more realistic approach of painting
-my ultimate goal is to become a freelancer, but i feel i didnt reach the level requiered yet!
