Hello. I'm JackIsDead : D You can just call me Jack if you'd like. I used to draw mostly manga but lately I want to draw more than just manga, so I looked around a bit and asked some friends from another forum. The only ones that replied, replied with this place. I looked around this forum for a while and thought it would be nice to learn from here so I decided to join ^_^

Well, this is the first post to a thread or forum I've ever made in my life... so I hope this actually posts and works.

Anyhow, I've been enthralled with traditional drawing for years, and only in the past two or three years has the concept of digital art caught my attention. Well, after a series of many events this past year, I've finally decided to get serious about becoming a concept artist, illustrator, and entertainment designer. But, given that all of my knowledge about art was restricted to a mere high school education, I've only begun to learn the basics of all things I need for what I plan to do. In the past six months, I've dedicated a great deal of free time to building up my workflow, knowledge-base, and general understanding of all things... well... that make my paintings look better.

Finally decided to join the forum on a whim. I've been into art forever, on and off, and like probably everyone I wanna get to that elusive next level in my art stuff. I also dabble with making games and stuff and do a little bit of pixel art and small game asset creation when and where I can, in fact it was game stuff that got me back into art and led me to find all the amazing artists and resources that are around online (after a long period of thinking it was pointless to pursue art and that it couldn't ever come to anything, if only I'd found all this stuff a lot sooner :/).

Really wanna get a handle on my digital art as I'm still more comfortable with a pencil or acrylic than a tablet, even after a year or so of having one. So yeah. Hello everyone, I'm here to learn :>

I'm a Soldier-Artist lol... I'm so sick of drawing skulls with daggers through them and M-16s.
I'm headed to Afghanistan in a few days and a friend pointed me towards this site to maybe help keep my interest going in le creative artistica. I'm involved in everything, writing, painting, drawing, concept, directing, 3D, blah blah.
I left MR for this because it seemed more down-to-earth, as much as I like Anime I can never keep up with those guys... Christ... (shivers) They scare me- But I can definitely have an interesting chat or two with you fan boys.

What's goin' on guys? I'm Einver. I have ambitions to become a professional illustrator and concept artist. I'm constantly drawing, painting, and conceptualizing. I'm freshly 22 years old, and living in Minnesota, USA.

I'm here to make some serious strides in terms of my skill level, and hopefully the feedback here will allow me to do that! I'll be dishing out some critique as well, and just generally doing my best to stay proactive.
