Hi guys,

I've been following Crimson Daggers on and off for a year or two now and took a break when I got more into environments than character art - which is often a main focus here. But I thought I'd re-introduce myself to the community to see if there's anyone else out there who either needs help with environments or can give ME help with mine :)

I notice a distinct lack of help on the pro forums these days so I'd like to help out when/if I have enough to offer. I love the Crimson Daggers community and would like to start my own some day but focusing more on environments as I think such a thing is absent in the digital art world. At least one with this level of community spirit.

My work has featured on web sites such as Evermotion, 3dtotal, CGarchitect, CGarena and won the DD at DeviantART. But I still desperately need to suck less and get a job in this field or die trying.

Hell, I might even get back into character art again :)

I am Syn! I have been lurking for quite a bit and decided that it's time to introduce myself like a man.

A little about me:

I am 23, live in Pennsylvania and have always loved drawing. I have taken a few Art classes during middle/high school and things of the sort but never college. I decided that I wanted to become a professional concept artist about 2 years ago after realising that the only thing I was half decent at and enjoyed was Art and creating new things. Ever since then I started following people whom I could related to and slowly but surely moving on to learn about others in little doses so that I didn't get in over my head.

I have lot's of ground to cover and have loved every single step of the way so far. From the sleepless nights to the staying up to date with others and trying to shove books after books of information into my head.

I currently don't have any portfolios online or much to show because I took it all down about a year ago to start from scratch. Currently in the process of uploading things and actually finishing them instead of leaving them half way through and using "it's a study" as an excuse.

Eh i don't really know what to say.. I mostly draw horses (it was my biggest interest when I was younger) but I've started to create some fantasywork. I'm not much of a landscape drawer, I don't have the patience for it but I really do love landscapes and I wish I could draw them. At the moment I have overworked my arm so I only do minor work and schoolwork. I go to some art courses at school but I don't pick up that much from them. This is why i've made a profile here :)

Hi, my name is David and I live in Dallas (TX). I just stumbled across this website from a journal entry on Deviant Art. I am an IT consultant with a profound interest in digital art. It all started last year from doodling on Facebook's graffiti app with a signature pad...the rest is history.

I am eager to learn and keeping improving. So far, everything I know has been self taught with the occasional tutorial here and there. I hope to keep learning and improving with any assistance or resources I can get. I currently use PS Elements 10 with an Intous 5 Medium tablet. Eventually hoping to get CS6, I just can't justify the cost yet until I am much better.

I'm Van, I live in Texas, I'm a hobbyist but I am hardcore serious about learning this craft. I've lurked on Dan Warren's livestream a few times, and he's so, so good about talking with people, and inviting them to improve, he made me less nervous about wanting to learn in a group. So I found the CD group on deviantart, and now I'm watching sickbrush's Fantastic 5 class, which is ridiculously awesome, btw. Thanks, sickbrush, for the time and effort. ♥

WRT to digital art, I don't know what I'm doing, which is pretty apparent from my dA gallery. *facepalm* But I'm here to learn. :) Thanks for setting up this board, you guys!

Hi there.
I'm from Czech Republic and I'm not really an artist. I work as a freelance AC and Steadicam operator. I'm only painting because I've forced myself into it due to the circumstances.
I'm working on developing a new IP that will hopefully be satisfying to all the sci-fi/fantasy fans. Since I can't afford any pros to help me with anything I'm doing everything myself. I write all the stories and do the artwork. I'm here to lurk and hopefully learn more from you guys.
