Sickbrush, Brent Hollowell and others on Wolkenfel's livestream list have brought my attention to this great community; moreover, they instilled in me a burgeoning respect and desire for illustration, concept art and design in my own future. At the moment I don't think I'm looking for a professional career in art, more just professional work.

I'm Edward Charles Thomas III (Edi) aka Starexai as well!
I'm currently a student majoring in illustration and I have
found that my school isn't providing me what my goals
happen to be set for. I'm aiming to learn concept art and
how to produce it. Enthusiasm is a role I play in life hoping
to inspire others. I believe in growth and my favorite thing
to do is to collaborate. Working with other artists has
always motivated me to continue doing so whenever I get
the opportunity. If anyone wants to discuss idea's I'm

Hello, everybody!

I was given the name of this community by a concept artist I met in GB.
I am 16 years old and maybe the youngest member of the community. I've been drawing since I was six years old and I am interested in digital illustration, improving the fundamentals and in general, learning a lot from everyone here.
I don't have much digital paintings to show yet, so I set up a photobucket account and uploaded two traditional drawings/studies and two lousy digitally painted dragons into an album to get an idea of why I want to improve.

hi im lavaman94 or you can call me brian. im a freshman in college who one day wants to get into the art portion of the gaming world. great examples are concept artist or 3d modeler. currently i lack the complete confidence in my self to believe i will make it there. but that doesnt mean im gonna give up. on what confidence i do have i practice and get better but i feel at a painsteaking pace. i think this has alot to do with the little amount i do know. so when i saw brenthollowell talk about the crimson dagger i decided id give it a look and i hope it can help me to get better.

I came upon Dave's work on deviant art through another group on facebook that I am a part of (http://www.facebook.com/groups/awesomehorse/) and am looking to expand myself into the art community even further. I am currently a student in Boston, MA going on to my 3rd year of school for illustration. After learning graphic design for 2 years I decided it really wasn't something I wanted to pursue professionally, I have a much stronger passion for fantasy/sci-fi illustration and couldn't be more happy with my decision. I look forward to getting to know as many of you guys (and gals) as I can.
