I've made an account a year ago but I never managed to get as far as introduction. I'm Denis from Croatia and I'm 26 years old. A year and half ago I got into drawing and I'm pretty much interested in illustration, concept art, animation and comics. Hope I can learn some stuff here and grow as an artist and take it to another level. So that's about it..hope I'll be seeing you guys in the sketchbook threads ;)

Hello there. Everyone calls me Ro, so feel free to do the same.

I've been working on my art for the past five years now, and have been drawing (Even if it wasn't serious business) since I was 12 I believe. I just started digital art in the past year and a half, and have been going strong since.

I've been attempting to get my fundamentals down, as I started [like some others] with anime, which isn't the best if you're a beginning artist. So far I've been getting much better at my values, and I've been okay with colour theory. I'm hoping to be able to draw okay hands by the time I hit 21, as well as know the major muscle groups (Well, at least how they look like under skin).

As for me as a person? Well, I'm from a large-ish city in Ontario, Canada, and not much happens in my life. I'm currently going back to school, and I role-play on tumblr from time to time. I also draw a lot of fan art for whatever has my interest at the time (Right now it's a show called Dragon Booster). I love Hawaiian pizza, and I have a cat named Soliman (however you spell that, I didn't pick his name orz) who I call Sol.

My greatest achievement in life so far has to be some of my wood paintings, which have earned me a grand total of 75$ (over my lifetime). Yup.

So, I guess that's me in a nutshell? I don't know, I have a feeling my personal tumblr says more about who I am haha

Hi everyone! I have started learning to draw a year ago. It was not constant work, since my university doesn't give me a lot time, but I gave my best. I had absolutely no skill in drawing, so I have been learning on CTRL+Paint. Now I am a lot better. But I still need to practice. I hope I will improve my skills on this site and that I will make some new friends :)

My name is Kyna, I can often be found with the handle "kyteki". This is my attempt at breaking out of my shell and participate in an art community rather then being a spectator. I'm an introvert so it's not something I've ever liked to do but I need it to grow as an artist. I'm from Arizona which feels far away from any local art communities. If you're from AZ I'd love to hear from you!

I'm working on creating a portfolio to help me break into the fantasy illustration field. I started over from scratch a few years ago because I was unhappy with the look and direction of my work. I'm obsessed with learning and someday hope to share what I've learned with other artists in need.

Hello to every Dagger!

Joined a while back and thought it was high time for proper introductions.

My name is Rali, 27, currently living in Denmark, doing a BA in Linguistics, and working part-time. Have an educational background in graphic design which led to a major direction-change due to some unpleasant RSI issues (anyone familiar with tendon problems, make sure to take regular breaks). So hence the switch to all things languages - and a more serious approach to artistic development at last.

So why join the Daggers? Well, firstly, it's had a good community reputation - although lately I've heard it's gone a bit quiet. Also, because I finally let go of the ridiculous fears, expectations and the occasional mind-freezes that occur when in self-doubt. At times I thought my relationship with art hadn't been profoundly long, but after making a little timeline, the problem seems more to be that I just wasn't consistent enough. Because... fear. And lack of direction, motivation.. and a general grasp of a bigger "why".

So now that's all cleared out, I hope to meet you in the forums - will try to show up as often as possible and do some of the mentor-assignments. Any form of structure should only be helpful, right? Thanks for reading and hope to see you around!
