  I practically know nothing
Posted by: Xia - 10-16-2014, 03:26 PM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - Replies (1)

Hey,

I'm an aspiring artist but from what I seems like; I don't know what I excel in at all. Treat me like I know nothing because I really don't. In this community, I feel naked. No skills similar or even close to that of what you guys can offer, and I'm glad. I want to learn and expand my skill-set and understandings.
When working in a more realist style, I have to work from scratch. From what I've been seeing here on Crimson Dagger, I'm practically an infant.

I come from a depth of knowledge in a style that meets no expectations nor true recognition anywhere I've gone myself. I come here to learn and am ready to give new light to my future and aspiring career; to reconstruct and rehabilitate myself from the path I've walked thus far.

I need every angle of constructive criticism I can get; not to mold myself into another person, but to help a man on crutches be able to stand himself. Thanks!

My name is Bartek, I would like to improve my art skills. I am interesting in concept art and illustration. I like fantasy art. I found something like mentor but I don't know where on this site the mentor is. Can someone tell me if I can to find and sign on mentor lessons, please?

Hello

My name is Guilherme Bizarro, im 27 and im from Lisbon, Portugal.
I've been drawing for the last couple of years (when i found out i wanted to draw for a living) and i've been following CD forums for awhile now, always in doubt if i should introduce and engage the community.
I really want to get better, but i have a huge problem committing to a piece and finish it because i always think that it will not turn out as good as i envision it, also i have difficulty concentrating and paying attention, i tend to wander off. So these are, what i think, my major weaknesses and i hope that this community can help me, that and awesome feedback from awesome people of course :D
I'll be starting a sketchbook but other than that im not really sure where to start, here at Crimson Dagger. Any tips?

Here is something i did like a week ago and some posture sketches. [Image: 34qa613.jpg]

Hi conceptart.org, I have 25 years and I create casino games, most user interface, and I want to evolve in illustration and concept art to apply it professionally.
So here I'm to share my studies and to ask you guidance and opinions.

Best Regards Bourn

I'm new here at Crimson Daggers! However, I've been interested in art for most of my life. I've been drawing off and on since I was very young, but have never really done all that well at it. I'm a jack of all trades- master of none guy, but I would like for that to change; I would really like to be very good at at least one thing in my life. So recently, since I'm not going to college any more, I've decided to put my time, energy, and resources into art and really pushing the limits of my comfort zone and what I can do.

So far I've been participating in Inktober, and it's nice because it helps keep my motivated to draw every day and not to get lazy, but I want to do more on the digital side and get away from traditional paper and pencil.

I'm looking to get any helpful advice or tips that I can and make new friends a long the way.

Thanks!
Aaron

  Here for a butt-busting!
Posted by: iKo - 10-05-2014, 11:09 AM - Forum: INTRODUCE YOURSELF - No Replies

Hi there!

I'm an art grad that has recently become unemployed and I'm looking to use my new spare time to brush up on art and get back in the game.

I recently realised that I don't actually know anything completely well at all (composition, anatomy, perspective, colour theory, ANYTHING!) and I still make the most beginner of mistakes in what I do know.
So please, heckle me from every angle and hopefully I'll build up to somewhere I've never reached before.

I'm also happy to make any new art buds and help a fellow traveler along the way c:
Let's all get better together!

Hi! I'm looking for a small tight knit group to share my work (and hopefully progress) with. And this place seems nice.

I'm 21 and doing fine art in Oxford. But i'm really craving an outlet for some concepts I've had, so i'll be trying some digital pretty much from scratch, if that's alright?

Seb
