A few drawings and stuff from the past week. Slim pickings, as I've been working on a few things, actual proper work things, with real money and all.

I've also been working my way through the exercises within Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, in the hope that it will help improve my ability to draw from imagination.

Couple of figure and face studies.

And, a few quick black and white sketches of some people from Reddit Gets Drawn.

Awesome one. Was it from life?

Sadly not, just from ref. I'm much too poor to buy my own skull to draw from.

You know theres always other ways of obtaining skulls.. 07baa27a

Love how you handled the Cumberbatch portrait!
your grasp on anatomy is far better than mine, all i can say is those edges need some love too.

So much love for your recent posts. It may have something to do with Cumberbatch but I'm not saying anything.

Put together a Deviant Art improvement meme. Not usually the kind of thing I'd participate in, but I thought it might help me to put my work into some kind of perspective.

Check out my DA gallery for the high res version (with added grumbling in the descriptions).

Second assignment for my mentorship with Suzanne Hemligh.

Yet to complete assignment one still, however. One skull study still to go.

Forgot to post this last week. Here's my Tesla illustration on the front cover of the April/May edition of Mensa Bulletin. With a wee profile on me inside.

Nice updates, looks like you are really gettting a lot out of Suzannes class. Those last portraits have some great colour in them. Though the one of the left looks like they may possibly be missing a bit of height on their cranium. Keep up the good work though :)
