this last illustration is progressing, u enhanced her expression each update :D
maybe the little dragon could have some expression enhacement too :)
i don't know why, but i imagine a background in a very high place (suggesting she's above mountains and clouds or a very high castle) would ùake this illustration more epic
i also sugest she relax her other fingers (her left hand)
Oh wow, nice style, love the caricature stuff! I would suggest trying some life studies and studies on lighting to help you with rendering form more. You have good drawing skills so maybe concentrate on the form part a bit more (i'm the opposite, good at rendering but my drawing is lacking..)
Hey Zou :D Yes, I am with you on the dragon expression, I'm painting him soon. I was going to do them on a cliff with clouds behind and dragons flying but hadn't got around to finding ref yet :) and I also thought about changing her fingers, that's spooky :P :) thanks for the crit.
Hiya kidult :) Thanks very much, that's nice to hear. And you are spot on, I've been lacking in studies lately. I want to practice painting form instead of drawing first, I think that would help immensely (Time to set up a still life or few :))
Thanks and ditto for your posts Cracked :D
Maybe, mighta finished..I've had a hard time finishing this as my computer has had driver issues and keeps crashing which stopped me getting into it but it's been behaving tonight and I made some progress. I'll come back to this with fresh eyes I reckon before I call it done...
couple of quick lunch time sketches...Gary Oldman from Fifth Element and Mike and Jay from RedLetterMedia.com (I love that site, if you're into deadpan funny movie reviews with some schlock and gross out humour I recommend it) Adele and Baby Giraffe :3
i like the pencil (on the blue paper) it's very nice to look at
second come the comic book girl
(the sofa is a bit tilted wich bother me a bit)
or is that the subject is a bit small compared to the rest ?
i also would like to see your sharp pencil strokes , in the digital work too
those are just perfecting crits, your caricatures are pro work :)
Love those goofy caricatures, cute and funny.
The character is coming out great, I can already imagine her being in a high end royal house and some poor servant dropping her favourite mirror.
