Cool stuff keep up the good work!, Ive been researching some artists from the past and came across an artist Mort Drucker not sure if you are aiming in that direction, but it did remind me of your stuff. So you might find this helpful as an inspiration if not disregard this post.
Hobbit: Actually a profound assessment sir! i see the similarities for sure, but i've never heard of him and i appreciate you sharing him, definitely will study his stuff. I've studied a lot of artists, but i think my main (drawing) influences boil down to Serge Birault, Malcolm Liepke, and maybe some of Paul Richards and a ton of other dudes.
Today i was sketching like John Cebollero. He draws the best... everything!
I can't believe how much i'm learning each day just working in pen and indian ink occasionally for longer studies.
They post stuff kind of like that; most of the time the fundamentals are lacking in the drawings, but they always tell a cute story (if see eroticism as cute like i do.) it's a very fun blog, even if the content is vulgar, it has this benign innocence to it that i can't get enough of
I appreciate you and the other person suggesting artists to me, expanding my repertoire, I'll just leave a short list here of the artists i study currently
Serge Birault, Paul Richards, Malcolm Liepke, Otto Schmidt, Slugbox, Armando Huerta, Reiq, Selenda, Loopeydave, Vampirehungerstrike, Lad-On, Amy Grue, J Scott Campbell, Burne Hogarthe, Micheal Hampton, Lee Bermejo, etc....
Sometimes i just go through related comic artists to like J scott campbell or adam hughes on Deviantart and draw that, you'll find some really impressive pencil stuff for sure :) Always love a comic artist who can draw Harley Quinn with some tight abs!
ALRIGHT! pretty happy with the progress of this month, probably will continue grindin fundamentals december as well!
I'm still waiting till i get something worth rendering before i start layin them colors down... i might render the gal with the fish, i like the idea, but we'll see how well i can execute the sketch next month. It looks close to how it looks in my head, but not quite...
I only worked only from imagination today, and i will be back to refs tomorrow, maybe study some animu kinda faces, and more feet cuz i still suck at feet!
Ugh.. Drew more than i usually did today... on paper mainly, lots and lots of gestures. I definitely think my eye has made a big jump from this... hopefully some sleep will catch me up a little on the hand side. These are quite trainasauruswreckuses!
didn't get to work much today... but did try a new construction method out with the figure, i'm gonna do it a lot more and try to get it down, because it really helps my proportions and placement
Also did a 2 hr caricature of david hockney, but the drawing was skewed in the eyes so the end product is shnit lol, though it was fun losing all the edges and painting a little
