The head drawings could have used more variation with angles, a lot of them look a bit same-y.
It feels like you're reinforcing what you already know instead pushing yourself further
Make more mistakes, then look at reference and find out what went wrong.
About the Value/Color studies- Do you set out with a goal when you start these?
Do you have a specific aspect that you want to improve in your paintings when you do these?
Or do you mostly copy what you see in the images?
I found that if I don't give myself a goal on what to improve and then take notes/feedback/criticism at the end -
My mind just turns into auto-pilot and I become a copy machine
Fine mixture of sketching and studies. You and Fedo both inspire me a lot to get back into anatomy practice!
Totally missed your "really think so?" as a reply to me stating that I like yer designs, and, well yeah. I like 'em.
I personally like when they feel somewhat grounded but still has a flair of design to them, not just a basic chain shirt hanging about.
HIRVIOS thank you so much for that comment man. It made realise how lazy I have been. I have just studied without really studying and making excuses for myself. So thank you so much for those words
Adzerak Haha yeah do anatomy its so fun! Thanks man but not nearly where i want them to be
So today I sat down and did some How to render stuff which i am not posting cause its just boring. I have just started the book and the beginning excercises are not interesting to look at. So just two doodle things. Trying to limit my color palette and experiment with that. It was fun but not enough for one day!
again, that is not bad at all my buttz! uuh maybe watch the stomach muscles, and how the pectoral goes into the deltoid, its not like a seperate shape, it leads into it. The tail is weird, it goes from being thick to super thin too quickly, also you could do a tighter job on that sword. But other than that it's actually a nice piece!
I really like the spiky creature--great silhouette! It's cool to see just a bit of the process, too.

This is a nice sketchbook, you have a great understanding of anatomy and your edge quality is really good. Would definitely say spice up the angles a bit of your head studies and poses to push yourself. Maybe have a look at Mathias Zamecki's instagram- he does loads of cool anatomy excercises :)
Fedo thanks as always man xd
Tygerson thank you :* the design sucks though
Mannion thank you and you are right. I need to get out of my comfort zone more and oh shit i just looked into Mathias' stuff. Its great. Im going to try out some of his stuff tomorrow!!!
Sooo well so long since i posted... I got into that university that i applied to forever ago and moved into another city. So now that i finally moved in i can post regularly again wohoo
Today just a selfie the other stuff is boring anyway
Watch out for that are between the nose and mouth, is yours really that long? Id imagine maybe your nose is a little longer could be wrong tho ;)
Also watch that neck near the back, remember there is a trapezius muscle inserting into the back of the neck to create a form that is a bit rounder than what you've indicated
Loving your sketchbook! Really nice style with some neat imaginative stuff. One thing that really stands out to me is to work on your line economy? Right now both your lines and brushstrokes are looking a bit wobbly and uncertain. Try to slow down, reduce your line usage and place as few lines as possible, but as confidently as possible. Hampton has some good exercises on doing this and retaining gesture.
For your anatomy and face painting studies way up further on this page, your edges and painting are looking really nice but the underlying form is suffering. You might want to look at more construction, study the 3D form. Really like your edge use though, that's something that's really standing out.
Fedo you are right haha that area isnt that long now that i looked at it. Ugh i hate when i dont see stuff (which is every time)
Eristhe Fuck thats something i havent focussed on before and its so hard but thank you so much for pointing that out my lines are scratchy af.
So another selfie for today. I try to make this daily at least for march. The glasses are horrible
not bad miss ASSS KICK; sometimes its worth spendin that extra time on accesories like headphones and glasses, its great practice and you're getting somewhere with the faces places and stuff. Just imagine how much cooler it can look where those headphones are nice crisp elipses and the glasses are placed well with a sexy drop shadow ;)
Looking crisp my luv, Watch the neck placement, it seems like you're missing those back muscles i mentioned earlier! The head is too far forward and the ear would have no way to connect to the sternomastecloid. Good headphones!!
